Mermaid Shylah is a very unique kind of mermaid...She is a butterfly mermaid!

Shylah's mermaid tale began when she was walking by a beautifully crystal clear Scottish lake, when she saw something glimmering in the water. Leaning in close to get a peak at what it could be, she couldn't believe her eyes, for right in front of her was a fairy, but it was having trouble keeping its head above the water! So without a second thought Shylah dove into the icy water and rescued her, safely swimming her to the rocky bank of the lake.

The fairy offered to grant Shylah 1 wish, as a thank you for saving her life. At first Shylah wasn't sure what to wish for, but then it struck her...She would wish to become a mermaid!

The fairy granted her wish happily and cast a spell to grant Shylah a beautifully colourful tail with patterns to match the fairies wings!
